The colour rendering index (CRI) indicates how an artificial light source shows colours. In other words, it indicates how a lamp reproduces colours in comparison with natural sunlight. The colour rendering index can also be denoted by the acronym CRI and can take a value between 0 and 100, where 100 is natural sunlight. It is expressed as the Ra value of a light source.
